We mixed colors and patterns to make this studio apartment feel bold, beautiful and full of life. The floral curtains are hung just below the ceiling which gives a dramatic effect and an illusion of floor to ceiling windows. Touches of gold and soft feminine textures in accent pieces make this a lovely way to pay homage to the Hollywood glam style of this studio apartment.

Touches of her family homeland of South Africa mixed with her fiance’s California modern style mesh well in this space to create the perfect love nest for the young newly engaged couple. The deep, ultra comfortable sofa is a great staple piece for cozy movie nights and cuddles for their first place together. The mix of textures and various patterns creates an exciting, sophisticated, but youthful mood. The hand-made moroccan rug is a great staple they can keep and pass down as a family heirloom.

A lovely and unique way to create a bohemian style headboard with this Balinese wood carving split into two halves and placed side by side. Natural tones and textures along with warm lighting create a mood perfectly suited for this bedroom that doubles as a meditation space. An artist’s abode curated into a dreamy and inspiring space for her to retire to at the end of each day.

We upcycled this old library card catalog and repurposed it as storage for supplies, notions and scraps of fabric for a local artisan who was growing her in home business and needed to organize her space to inspire further creativity. The catalog was found through online thrifting and we simply added a lovely Robins Egg blue paint on a few of the drawers in a diagonal pattern. This soft and subtle color  provides an extra pop of personality without overpowering the space or competing with the artisan’s bold creations. Curating supplies in an office or workspace can provide calm and an inspiring aesthetic. These lovely wooden bowls are nice accent pieces to hold metal hooks. The juxtaposition of metal on wood is a nice mix of texture and color turning simple supplies into decor.

A space saving redesign for the bedroom of three brothers, a teenager, a toddler, and an infant. This sturdy and natural bunk has a pull out bed at the bottom for when the infant is older. The throw rug offers a bright, funky and sophisticated pattern for the teen while its low pile lets us maintain a play space for the younger ones. Bringing in the boys’ heritage and culture with tones, accents and influences from the African continent was a fun way to add their personal touch and tie this room in with the rest of the home. A little mini library inspiration for this small and cozy living room with walls freshly painted in a fun and bold artichoke green.

Bringing even the smallest amount of the natural outdoors into a space brightens it and brings in the joy and inspiration every home deserves.
